Whiteharbour Ltd was founded with a single mission: to help organisations achieve their information security goals in a simple and transparent way.  No over-complication.  No unecessary processes, controls or documentation.  Just the things that our customers need and no more.

The company was set up in 2009 by Andy Whillance who has worked with ISO 27001 since its first publication as an ISO standard in 2005, auditing companies against the standard for a UKAS Accredited certification body.  ​

​

While auditing allowed him to provide a small degree of assistance during the audit process, he found it frustrating to only be allowed to point at problems rather than to solve them and decided that the move to consultancy would allow him to better bring his experience to companies seeking to improve their security posture.​

   

Since our inception, we have worked with clients of every size and shape, from small businesses of 5 employees through to multi-national companies with 1000s of employees located in 30 countries and everything in between.  Our approach is always to provide a tailored solution to every client, no identikit templates (although we do have a huge pool of resources to help get things started and have some tried and tested ways of doing things that work well for everyone.  Our aim is to make things easy, and to ensure that our customers fully understand what has been implemented so that hey can continue on their own after we have helped.

We are based in Glasgow, Scotland but using remote working we have clients across the UK as well as in the USA, Europe and India.
